Access Bedford were back at The Higgins Bedford for BedPop 2020 again this year providing BSL interpreters for the live science demonstrations, and teaching some Deaf awareness and fingerspelling fun to the visitors. BedPop science Lab brings dozens of FREE hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) activities, ready to inspire the scientists, engineers and inventors of the future! BSL friendly demonstrations, chemical curiosities, environmental engineering challenges with hybrid air vehicles, stomp rockets, exploding dry ice volcanoes and activities for young geologists. Other activities include building superstructures, becoming pond detectives to investigate invertebrates, looking at microbes under microscopes and creating paper planes, balloon helicopters and air powered model cars to fly.
